cology, botany, evolutionary biology, taxonomy, psychology, digital connection, and my struggles with communication are some of the themes and studies that inspire me to create. Humanities tendency to be apathetic towards all things non human is also something I like to shed light on. Throughout my life I’ve always expressed emotion, behaviors, and stories through artwork that is typically devoid of humans.
I believe we can learn so much from humans that have not yet had their minds flooded with brands or our very ridged societal structures. Children, tribal communities, and the modern bird watcher or fisherman are great examples of these types of humans. I draw almost all of my inspiration from an intense fascination and drive to learn about the natural world, and the dream to one day feel more connected with it again, as I was when I was younger.
